Gail Simmons, 35, is best known for her role as a regular judge and critic on Bravo’s hit show, Top Chef, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy award in Outstanding Reality Competition Program. Top Chef, now entering its ninth successful season is rated the #1 Food Show on cable television.
In addition to her on screen successes, she also makes frequent appearances at events and conferences, and will be a speaker at this summer’s Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, CO. Additionally, Simmons serves as the Special Projects Director for Food & Wine magazine where she has held various high ranking positions during her tenure. The Toronto native has been around the kitchen from most of her adult life, having attended the Institute for Culinary Education in NYC where Simmons was fortunate to apprentice at the renowned restaurants of Le Cirque and Vong in Manhattan. This legendary Television personality also serves as a regular supporter and contributor of Common Threads, an organization that teaches low-income children how to cook wholesome and affordable meals. Simmons spends much of her time giving back to her communities where she sits on various boards set out to serve the less fortunate.
