Jack O’Connell is one of Britain’s best known on-screen bad boys. He is probably mostly recognized for his role as James Cook in the popular teen drama series Skins (2009-2010, 2013), which he won the TV choice award for best actor. He made his film debut in This Is England (2006), directed by Shane Meadows, and then had roles in thriller films such as Eden Lake (2008), co-starring Michael Fassbender and Harry Brown (2009), co-starring Michael Caine and Emily Mortimer.

His role in the critically acclaimed Starred Up (2013) as young offender Eric was the start of a career-defining year for O’Connell. He also starred in 300: Rise of an Empire alongside Lena Headey and Eva Green. His next big role is in Unbroken, a war drama film produced and directed by Angelina Jolie and written by the Coen Brothers. The film co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Domhnall Gleeson and follows the real-life story of plane crash survivor who becomes a Japanese P.O.W. The talented Brit is certainly one to watch.
