18 year-old Australian actress, Alice Englert is rapidly making her mark in the industry. Before deciding upon a career in acting, Alice dabbled in music, writing and even theatre. Although it’s no surprise she has an artistic flare when her father, Colin Englert is a director/producer and her mother, Jane Campion is the Palme d’Or-winning filmmaker behind the, The Piano (1993) and Bright Star (2009).
In 2012 Alice blew audiences away with her portrayal as Rosa in the critically acclaimed film, Ginger and Rosa, co-starring Elle Fanning and directed by Sally Potter. Last year Alice acted alongside Emma Thompson and Jeremy Irons in Beautiful Creatures, an engaging love story brought to life by incredible visuals.
Alice is about to begin filming Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, a TV series set in the 19th Century during the Napoleonic Wars, which will be directed by the Sherlock and Doctor Who director, Toby Haynes.
