    Alicia Vikander is an actress, already very successful in her native Sweden. The 26-year old started her fame in a popular Swedish TV drama Andra Avenyn and in Swedish feature films such as Pure (2010) and The Crown Jewels (2011). Her role in Pure led to Vikander winning the Rising Star Award in 2010 at the Stockholm Film Festival and the Shooting Star Award at the Berlin International Film Festival.

    In 2012, Vikander had her fist role in an English-speaking film in Anna Karenina co-starring Kiera Knightley. She also appeared in The Fifth Estate (2013) co-starring Benedict Cumberbatch. She was named as one of the 10 Actors to Watch: Breakthrough Performances of 2012 at the 20th Hamptons International Film Festival and was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2013.

    Having become the latest in a wave of Scandinavian talent to break British shores, Vikander has an exciting couple of years ahead.  Firstly is Australian crime thriller Son of a Gun (2014) co-starring Ewan McGregor and then The Man from U.N.C.L.E (2015) co-starring Henry Cavill and Hugh Grant. There is also Seventh Son co-starring Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges, and Testament of Youth co-starring Kit Harrington.

    Vikander is currently filming Tulip Fever (2015) co-starring Academy-award winner Christoph Waltz. It has also been announced she will be star with Michael Fassbender in The Light Between Oceans for DreamWorks and opposite Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl directed by Tom Hooper. Judging by her future projects, Vikander is soon going to be one of the most in-demand actresses in the film industry.

    James Norton has had something of a turnaround in his career recently. Having made a memorable impact on audiences earlier this year when he played psychopathic kidnapper and killer Tommy Lee Royce in BBC’s Happy Valley, he is currently playing a more angelic role as an Anglican vicar Sidney Chambers in ITV’s Grantchester co-starring Robson Green.

    Norton has been building an impressive resume over the last few years with credits including film, TV and theatre. On stage he has featured in Posh (2010), That Face (2010) and Journey’s End (2011). He has received critical acclaim for his performances. In a review of Journey’s En;, The Independent wrote “James Norton….is stunning”.

    His TV credits have included guest appearances in Doctor Who (2013) co-starring Matt Smith, Blandings (2013) co-starring Jennifer Saunders and Death Comes to Pemberley (2013) co-starring Matthew Rhys.

    Norton’s film credits include the Academy-award nominated An Education (2009) co-starring Carey Mulligan, Rush (2013) co-starring Chris Hemsworth and the upcoming Mr Turner (2014), co-starring Timothy Spall and directed by Bafta-award winner and Academy-award nominated Mike Leigh. The film has been gaining critical acclaim and is in the running to be Academy nominated this year.

    Most audiences will recognize Jessica Cave for her memorable role as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter series (2009- 11). However this multi-talented actress can also be found on stage, on TV, and behind the scenes as a writer.

    In 2012, Cave had roles in Grandma’s House (2012), co-starring Simon Amstel and Great Expectations (2012), co-starring her former colleagues Helena Bonham-Carter and Ralph Fiennes. Her TV credits include the BAFTA-nominated Cardinal Burns (2014), BBC 3’s Pramface (2013) and Coming Up (2013), for which she received critical praise. She also had two consecutive sell-out shows at Edinburgh festival: Bookworm (2012) and Ain’t Too Proud to Beg (2013).

    Cave is currently starring in E4’s hit new series Glue and British comedy Pride (2014), co-starring Bill Nighy. Next year, she can be seen in The Tale of Tales (2015), co-starring Salma Hayek. With a number of new writing projects under her belt as well, Cave is definitely one to keep an eye out for.

    British actress, Annabelle Wallis’ resume includes some very impressive TV roles. She played Jane Seymour in the hit Showtime period drama the Tudors (2009-10) co-starring Jonathan Rhys-Meyers; featured in Pan Am (2011-12) co-starring Christina Ricci, and Peaky Blinders (2013-) co-starring Cillian Murphy.

    Her film credits are equally remarkable with roles in W.E (2011) directed by Madonna; Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) co-starring Chris Hemsworth and X-Men; First Class (2011) co-starring Michael Fassbender.

    2014 has been a busy year for Wallis as she featured in Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond, co-starring Dominic Cooper, BBC’s The Musketeers, series 2 of Peaky Blinders and Annabelle; a spin-off to the hit horror film The Conjuring (2013). She is  currently filming Grimsby (2015) co-starring Rebel Wilson and Sacha Baron Cohen.

    British actress Gemma Chan has appeared in a variety of popular TV shows such as Dr Who (2009) with David Tenant, award-winning The It Crowd (2010), co-starring Chris O’Dowd, and Bafta-winning Sherlock (2010), co-starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. She also had a lead role in the final series of Secret Diary of a Call Girl (2011), co-starring Billie Piper.

    Chan’s film career is equally impressive with roles in Shanghai (2010), co-starring John Cusack and the BAFTA-nominated Exam (2009). She also featured in the critically acclaimed Submarine (2011), co-starring Paddy Considine and The Double (2013), co-starring Jessie Eisenberg.

    This year has being a fantastic year for Chan as she co-starred alongside Chris Pine in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), directed by Kenneth Branagh. Later this year, she will star in London Fields, co-starring Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and in the British spy thriller The Game (2014), co-starring Brian Cox.

    George MacKay’s breakthrough role was aged 10, playing a Lost Boy in the PJ Hogan version of Peter Pan (2003). His next big role was co-starring with Daniel Craig and Jamie Bell in Defiance, (2008) and then co-starring with Clive Owen in The Boys Are Back (2009).

    In 2013, MacKay played Edmond in How I Live Now, opposite Saoirse Ronan and directed by Kevin Macdonald. He then played Davy Henshaw in the critically-acclaimed, British musical film Sunshine on Leith (2014). This year also sees him star in Pride, co-starring Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton. Pride won the Queer Palm award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. MacKay is a young British star with a great future ahead.

    Up and coming young British talent Jamie Blackley is certainly one to keep an eye out for. The 23 year-old has appeared in a number of British TV series such as Misfits (2009), Midsomer Murders (2011), Endeavour (2012) and The Borgias (2013). He has also appeared in films such as London Boulevard (2010) co-starring Kiera Knightley, Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) co-starring Kristen Stewart and The Fifth Estate (2013) co-starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Continuing his impressive career, Blackley is set to star in Kids in Love (2014), co-starring Cara Delevingne and Will Poulter and If I Stay (2014), co-starring Chloe Grace Mortez. He also has a lead role in the currently untitled new Woody Allen project co-starring Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix.

    Rosamund Pike first hit our film screens as Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day (2002). Since then, the 35-year old has appeared in a variety of films including Fracture (2007), co-starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling and An Education (2009), co-starring Peter Sarsgaard and Carey Mulligan. She was nominated for several awards for An Education.

    Pike has stayed close to her roots with a stream of roles in British comedies such as Made In Dagenham (2010), co-starring Sally Hawkins and Bob Hoskins, Johnny English Reborn (2011) co- starring Rowan Atkinson and The World’s End (2013), co-starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

    Pike will be on our screens later this year as Amy in the highly anticipated film adaptation of the hit book Gone Girl, co-starring Ben Affleck. The book was one of the biggest literacy phenomena of 2012 and the success of the film is likely to follow.

    After losing her job and her husband, Tammy hits the road with her grandmother for a hilarious road trip to Niagara Falls.tammy -new film

    Tammy is a comedy film directed and produced by Ben Falcone and co-written by Melissa McCarthy. The film stars comedian Melissa McCarthy, Susan Sarandon, Allison Janney, Toni Collette, Sandra Oh, Dan Aykroyd, Kathy Bates, and Falcone himself.

    The movie begins with the main character, Tammy, having a bad day. She totaled her car, was fired from her job at the greasy burger, and went home to find her husband cheating on her with the girl next door. Tammy grabbed a few of her things and headed out. Being broke with no transportation, she realized that her grandmother, who has money, and a car, is her only option for an escape out. They both agree to go on a road trip with Niagara Falls set as their destination. With Tammy’s grandmother riding shotgun, they head out on an adventure. On their journey, the two find themselves in absurd situations leading them to make multiple bad decisions. The film is expected to have the audience laughing in their seats from start to finish.

    As audiences buzz about the release of action-packed drama “Lucy” later this week, it’s clear that America’s blonde bombshell is at it again. Scarlett Johansson will play the starring role of Lucy herself in this international action-drama, alongside Morgan Freeman and under the direction of French screenwriter Luc Besso.

    There are few movie-goers who wouldn’t recognize Scarlett’s full smile or timeless glamour. After all, she’s starred in a smattering of roles, from her part as the glittery girlfriend in “Don Jon” to the romantic and money-hungry social climber in historical drama, “The Other Boleyn Girl.” A Woody Allen favorite, Johansson has nabbed roles as his leading lady in a handful of films, including the sizzling “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and “Match Point.”

    Next, Johansson has several exciting appearances in store for her loyal fans. She’ll shine as another stunning and fearless action star in the next installment of “The Avengers,” fearless action star, and will play the mysterious Russian spy called “The Black Widow,” in the upcoming espionage-drama of the same name.
