Six time Grammy award winner, Global Fashion icon, and equality activist Lady Gaga has been adding more to her resume this Fall with debuting her highly anticipated role as “The Countess” in American Horror Story: Hotel. Her horrific demeanor, serial killer mindset, and mysterious craving for human blood have the audience wanting more and more. The show brought in 6 million viewers for the season premiere and took the number 2 spot of the night behind the season premiere of Empire on Fox.

Gaga has also released a brand new music video for her song “Til It Happens to You” on Vevo last month. Gaga worked on this song to display a powerful message about sexual assault on college campuses today. Her song will be featured in the upcoming documentary The Hunting Ground which displays the horrific toll sexual assault can take on a person and their families.

The Mother Monster has also collaborated within the fashion world this month, appearing in Tom Ford’s revolutionary 2016 spring collection film online. Lady Gaga both stars in the fashion video campaign and is used as the back track with her modern cover of “I Want Your Love” by Chic. As Gaga is known for her iconic fashion statements, we hope more collaborations with designers are to come in the future.

Lady Gaga is rocking the entertainment world this Fall and we cannot wait to see what else she has in store.

rihanna-diorRihanna’s highly anticipated collaboration with Dior was exactly what fans wanted to see, as she was seen strutting her “bad gal” look in the Dior Secret Garden IV campaign. Fashion icon Rihanna, who has been known to rock Dior on the red carpet multiple times, is the perfect match for this campaign with her edgy, sleek look. In March 2015, Rihanna was announced as the first black woman for the Parisian fashion house. With that being said, this fashion partnership is one for the books since Rihanna is the first woman of color to be seen as the face of Dior.

Rihanna showed clips of the campaign on her Instagram before it was released which led to anticipation from her fans. Also, Dior released the video campaign first, via Twitter.

On May 18th Dior released the 4:00 minute video, where Rihanna was seen in Dior’s fierce looks as she was roaming through the Palace of Versailles in France. Rihanna is seen bringing light to the dark rooms in Versailles, while wearing Dior’s hottest looks. This video was shot only using candlelight and moonlight, according to director Stephen Klein. The candlelight and moonlight showed off the metallic pieces of the newest Esprit Dior Tokyo collection. We look forward to seeing what else Rihanna has in store with Dior.

o-MALAIKA-FIRTH-VOGUE-570MALAIKA FIRTH, was once a name known only in Barking, a suburban town in east London, but is now one that is recognized and sought after internationally throughout the fashion/modeling industry. Firth was signed on the spot to Premier Model Management, a modeling agency based in the UK, in 2011, when she attended an open-call casting that her mother had arranged for her. Firth credits the start of her career to her mother, who encouraged her to try modeling after learning about Premier through an episode of “The Model Agency”. The young model is mutli-cultural, and owes her exotic appearance to her Kenyan, Ugandan, Seychellois, Swiss and British heritage.

At the ripe age of 17, Firth had her runway debut at the New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 collection for Odilon. The Fall of 2013 brought Firth more success than most starting models could ever hope for. That fall season she starred in a campaign for Prada, making her the first black model in 19 years to secure a Prada campaign, the last being Naomi Campbell in 1994. That fall she also walked the runway in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, and made her cover debut for Vogue. Again she participated in New York Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2014 collections, Firth walked over 40 shows, including Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier, among others. For the Spring/Summer 2014 campaign season, Firth booked campaigns from Valentino, Burberry, and Prada for the second-consecutive time. In May 2014 she was the face of the “Today I’m Wearing”, style blog where she documented her outfit of the day for a month with Vogue.

For all these reasons and more, it is clear that Malaika Firth is a name we will be hearing a lot more of.

Blake Lively, the actress/model known for her six-year run on Gossip Girl as well as notable roles in the films Savages and The Town, announced last week that she is launching a lifestyle brand in the coming months. The 26-year-old is looking to build her brand through ways other than acting, telling Vogue UK, “I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at and that I don’t utilize when acting. “Acting was something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default, but there was so much that I cultivated thinking that I wouldn’t be an actor.”

Although Lively describes her new company as one of a kind and “without a genre,” publications are speculating that it will be comparable to an actress who currently occupies the same space. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is the founder of the “Goop” brand, a website and weekly newsletter which “gives readers access to recipes, travel guides, fashion, wellness tips, cultural notes and more.” The “Goop” brand, at first mocked for promoting an unobtainable lifestyle, has turned out to be a relatively successful venture for Paltrow, reaching over 1 million subscribers. The company debuted its first-ever exclusive clothing collection this month, and beauty publications are raving about Paltrow’s excellent taste in fashion.

Lively will be hard-pressed to measure up to Paltrow’s success, but the actress has shown she can be a player in lifestyle branding. Lively has promoted and partnered with Sprinkles Bakeries as well as La Cornue Ovens. She demonstrated her cooking abilities with model Elettra Wiedermann when the two filmed a cooking segment at the Bedford Post Inn Kitchen and baked a sausage puff pastry. On the segment, Lively revealed that for her birthday she cooked at the upscale NY restaurant Per Se, and commented that she wowed the chefs that were there.

Along with launching her new company, Lively has been busy of late. She married actor Ryan Reynolds in September 2012, and acted as a spokesperson for Gucci’s 2013 campaign, “Chime for Change” which aims to further awareness of women’s issues in education, health and justice. Blake also told Vogue UK that she will be working on a film in 2014.

Being one of Hollywood’s top celebrity stylists and traveling between NYC, LA and Paris – some would say Jen Atkin is living the life. Jen’s hairstyles are frequently covered by publications such as InStyle, Italian Vogue, ELLE and US Vogue and she’s worked with many famous photographers.  She has a loyal following by celebrity clients and recently gained 7,000 new followers on Twitter in the span of 5 days.

This young talent did not become a success overnight; she started as a receptionist at a local salon in LA and worked her way up.  Today, she has worked along side other popular stylists during fashion week and continued to work in top-notch salons.  She’s mastered the skill of capturing old world beauty in the hairstyles of some of today’s most glamorous leading ladies (think Penelope Cruz, Emma Stone, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford)—thanks in part to her vibrant resume. She was a key member of Madonna’s hair team on 2006’s Confessions tour; she’s been mentored by hair masters like Andy Lecompte, Guido and Danilo; and she’s made sure the locks of top models were catwalk-ready for designers like Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Chloe, and Alexander McQueen.

One of Jens dream projects would be doing hair for a music video directed by Paul Hunter starring Beyonce, J. Lo, Lady Gaga or Shania Twain.

Check out Jens’ Instagram in order to keep up with what she has going on.
