The Food Network recently announced new primetime shows showcasing different chefs/talent. FN’s viewership was up 16% first quarter compared to a year earlier. Several of these chefs are currently open to/interested in endorsements. “Chef vs. City” (beginning this fall) is a foodie version of “The Amazing Race.” Chefs Aaron Sanchez and Chris Cosentino take on a pair of local chefs across the country each week, competing in five challenges. “Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin” will launch this fall. Corwin (best known from Animal Planet) will head to foreign locations to test different cuisines.
In addition, Sandra Lee (best known for her hit show “Semi-Homemade”) will launch her new show “Sandra’s Money Saving Meals” on May 10. She has also recently launched her own magazine.
Adam Gertler, host of FN’s “Will Work for Food,” is currently interested in pursuing endorsements. He is always extremely energetic/passionate about the projects he signs on for. He was first seen as a contestant on “The Next Food Network Star” and can now be seen giving FN viewers “behind-the-scenes access to countless food jobs as he fearlessly learns how to do everything from ice sculpting and truffle foraging to competitive eating and cranberry harvesting.” Gertler is also heavily involved with volunteer work, including teaching theater to grade school children to catering for non-profit organizations like the Red Cross. He is based in California.
