    With it’s new series, Supermarket Superstar, Lifetime will give every day Americans a chance to show their ideas about what they think should be added to the shelves of the supermarkets. The show will give these food entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their ideas to the big brands, competing for a chance to win $10,000 in prize money as well as $100,000 worth of product development from DINE Marketing and Mattson.

    Supermarket Superstar is produced by Eli Holzman, Rhett Bachner, Michael Chiarello and brothers Bob and Harvey Weinstein. The series will have people compete every episode, the winner of the episode will get a ticket for the finale-round where the judges will pick one as the overall winner. The winner will have their product launched and marketed through The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) family of supermarkets. The panel of judges the contestants must face will include Debbi Fields of Mrs. Fields Bakeries, Chris Cornyn of DINE, and Award Winning Chef Chiarello himself.

    Supermarket Superstar will be hosted by actress Stacy Keibler. She is already familiar with hosting shows as she is also hosting the Call of Duty Elite’s Friday Night Fights. Besides that Keibler is working hard on the initial stages of developing an innovative and nourishing food line as she has a lifelong passion for health and fitness. She wants to get people on the right track by introducing them to a healthy and wholesome eating regiment. That’s why she is the perfect person to host this food competition.

    The first episode will air on July 22nd at 10 ET/PT. Be sure not to miss out on the start of this food fight.

    Twenty-three years young and already a Super Model, but Robyn Lawley doesn’t stop there!  This Australian beauty is also an aspiring DJ and Foodie. She is the first plus-size model to ever do a campaign for Ralph Lauren and the first plus-size model to ever be shot for the Australian Vogue.

    Lawley is taking over the fashion industry with her famous curves, making plus-size shapes more and mainstream. She has been quoted saying ‘I feel every catwalk and every editorial spread should feature all different types of bodies and faces.’  In 2011, Lawley was voted the winner of the Australian Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless Female, Rising Star Award in 2011 and is currently signed Wilhelmina Models in New York, where her extensive model portfoliocan be found.

    Lawley’s food blog, ‘Robyn Lawley Eats’, is a huge success on Tumblr, which led to a cookbook deal with Random House, where Robyn shares her personal and family recipes.  She has also appeared on Australian News TV, discussing her cooking techniques and recipes with the public.
    Her love for music has led Robyn to become an aspiring DJ as well, she is currently perfecting her skills and beginning to pop up a various fashion parties around the world, controlling the scene with her favorite mixes of Dub Step and EDM.

    HBO’s hit series Game Of Thrones premiered the first episode of their third season last Sunday March 31st which has been the most watched episode ever. The live premiere had over 4.4 Million viewers and reached a grand total of 6.7 million viewers together with the two repeats of that night.

    Game Of Thrones is based on the series of fantasy novels  A Song Of Ice And Fire by George R. R. Martin. The show explores a medieval-like fantasy world with its plethora of characters all struggling in the only game that matters – The game of thrones. A game full of issues of social hierarchy, religion, civil war, sexuality, crime and punishment.

    The first season of Game Of Thrones premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011 with a rating of 2.2 million viewers. Since then, the series has grown an enormously and it’s dedicated fan base can be compared to that of  Star Wars and Harry Potter. The series even received universal acclaim by a whole list of awards including a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series – Drama, two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series and won Program of the Year on the TCA Awards.

    The popularity of the series has even branched as far as your local grocery store as Belgian-style Brewery Ommegang is releasing the first official Game Of Thrones beer – or mead, as it is commonly referred to by GoT characters. The producers of the show are a great fan of Ommegang and because beer is such a great part of the show they set up a special line of beers. Over the course of this season, various kinds of beers inspired by the series will be available, beginning with Iron Throne, a blonde ale.

    Season 3 will be another set of 10 episodes like the previous 2 seasons, ending on June 9. The show is full of plots and numerous characters will be seen on HBO every Sunday at 9 p.m.

    A star on so many different levels, Marcel Vigneron is a chef worth knowing. Known as the second runner up the Bravo TV show Top Chef in 2011, Vigneron graduated from New York, from the Culinary Institute of America. After Top Chef, he was the Executive Sous chef at Jose Andres’ Bazaar, then head chef at Los Angeles’ Bar 210.

    Vigneron’s more recent work includes his own TV show on the reality TV series Marcel’s Quatum Kitchen on Syfy (ended in 2011), which featured his catering company, Modern Global Tasting.  The show and the company focuses on taking on culinary challenges where he and his team have to come up with menus, and create extraordinary meals for high end clients and events. MGT not only focuses on creating delicacies but also as a restaurant consulting business. The whole experience is one that is unique in which is mouth watering culinary delights will keep you asking for more.

    After his stint on SyFy, Vigneron continued on to The Next Iron Chef: Redemtion, making it into the final four before being eliminated.

    Earlier this month, P&G Bounty had Bravo’s “Top Chef – Season 4” winner Stephanie Izard  on hand at the 2013 International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago, IL to demonstrate the newest paper towel innovation from Bounty – the DuraTowel. The International Home & Housewares Show is the largest housewares-only fair in the world and 60,000 home-goods professionals were on hand to reveal innovative new products. Stephanie showcased the benefits of using the product in the kitchen by participating in multiple cooking demonstrations, on-site media interviews and social media. Here’s the latest and greatest on Chicago’s very own Stephanie Izard.

    A 2011 James Beard ‘Best New Restaurant’ nominee, Girl & the Goat has been praised by many high-profile publications.  Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, and has worked in some of the most respected kitchens in Chicago including La Tache, Spring, and Vong. 

     She previously owned the highly acclaimed restaurant Scylla, which she sold just prior to appearing on and winning Season four of Bravo’s “Top Chef.”  Izard’s first book, Girl in the Kitchen, was released in the fall of 2011 (Chronicle). Stephanie also has a newly launched product line called “The Flavor, By Stephanie Izard,” consisting of sauces and rubs.

    Ree Drummond is more than a southern belle with a lovely family, farm, and blog…she is an author, blogger and star of her own Food Network Show!  Ree started her blog Pioneer Woman in 2006 and has been filling the pages with delicous recipes and more ever since.  Her and “Malboro Man” ( the nickname she calls her husband on the blog) have four sons, a farm and lots of exciting things to share.  More than just the recipes and southern cooking she is known for,  Ree also has pages on her blog for photography, home & decor, homeschooling and the confessions she is willing to share with the bloggesphere.

    Along with Pioneer Woman, in 2009 Ree started another blog called Tasty Kitchen as a forum where everyday people could easily share recipes.  Coinciding with these blogs, she is also an award winning author with four books including “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl” and the follow-up, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food From My Frontier.”

    After getting noticed for Pioneer Woman’s success Ree was given her own show on The Food Network titled alongside her blog “Pioneer Woman.”  The show premiered on August 27, 2011 and is still sizzling just like the delicious dishes she is serving up.  You can check out her blog at The Pioneer Woman and her shows returns to the Food Network this fall!

    Everyone gets sick of their mom’s cooking at some point during their childhood, but did we ever really do anything about it? Chances are slim to none. However, 13 year old Flynn McGarry has just put us all to shame.

    3 years ago, when Flynn was just 10 years old, he decided to embark on some amazing gastronomic adventures. Over the past few years, Flynn dedicated himself to the culinary arts and has become a top-chef.

    Now at 13, Flynn has had the opportunity to intern at Chicago’s Next, Seattle’s Food Lab, and Los Angeles’s Playa, where he has cooked for sold-out crowds!

    When asked what he wants to do when he grows up, Flynn said he would like to open his own three-Michelin star restaurant. We cannot wait for that to happen!

    Gail Simmons,  35, is best known for her role as a regular judge and critic on Bravo’s hit show, Top Chef, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy award in Outstanding Reality Competition Program. Top Chef, now entering its ninth successful season is rated the #1 Food Show on cable television.

    In addition to her on screen successes, she also makes frequent appearances at events and conferences, and will be a speaker at this summer’s Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, CO. Additionally, Simmons serves as the Special Projects Director for Food & Wine magazine where she has held various high ranking positions during her tenure. The Toronto native has been around the kitchen from most of her adult life, having attended the Institute for Culinary Education in NYC where Simmons was fortunate to apprentice at the renowned restaurants of Le Cirque and Vong in Manhattan. This legendary Television personality also serves as a regular supporter and contributor of  Common Threads, an organization that teaches low-income children how to cook wholesome and affordable meals. Simmons spends much of her time giving back to her communities where she sits on various boards set out to serve the less fortunate. Organizations such as The City Harvest, Hot Bread Kitchen, the American Institute of Wine & Food, the Institute of Culinary Education’s Alumni Committee, and the Women at NBCU Advisory Board are where her true influence lies.     Grammy Award winner Trisha Yearwood has signed a 6 episode TV deal with the Food Network to star in her own daytime cooking show. Although there is no official title yet, the show is expected to debut sometime in April.

    After having mainstream success in country music, Trisha Yearwood released her first cookbook co-written with her mother, Gwen and sister, Beth entitled, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen and reached #1 on the best sellers list in 2008. The cookbook consisted of southern recipes from her mother and sister which included recipes passed down from her family and liner notes describing each recipe including: fried chicken, ribs, meatloaf and cheesecake. Her husband, Garth Brooks, wrote the book’s foreword and has stated how he was always fond of her cooking style.

    After the success of her first cookbook, Yearwood released a second book entitled Home Cooking With Trisha Yearwood, again co-written with her mother and sister and reaching #1 on the best sellers list. The book consisted of recipes passed down through her entire family history and was featured on the cover of Redbook Magazine. Yearwood explained that these recipes were reminiscent of her best childhood years.

    Tony Danza is best known for old time shows Taxi and Who’s the Boss? With a career that started in 1978, he has been on the television scene for almost 33 years! He has had numerous roles in both films and television series.

    In 2008 he released a cook book which he co-wrote with his son; Don’t fill up on the Antipasto: Tony Danza’s Father-son cookbook. Having recently wrapped up two films, Danza doesn’t seem to be disappearing off the scene anytime soon.

    His latest project, Teach: Tony Danza, is a reality show about the actor becoming a teacher at a high school in Philadelphia.

    Danza is currently open to endorsements, infomercials, licensing, speaking engagements and voice over campaigns.
