Hello Ross is the new late-night interactive talk show hosted by Ross Mathews.  The series has recently been renewed for a second season which is a big step towards Mathews future position as the next queen of all media. Ross has his own show but executive producer Chelsea Handler is still his boss.

The show is taped in-front of a live, opinion-giving audience where they discuss celebrities and pop culture, with a pre-taped segment and a main guest interview following. The idea of the show is for Ross to both conduct interviews and also help connect fans with their favorite entertainers. The show airs on Fridays on the E! network at 10pm .

This is a dream come true for Ross Mathews, who started his TV career as an intern on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In 2013 he released the book Man Up! Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence and he recently announced the opening of his new eCommerce store called Swank.la (“The Amazon.com of tile, stone and wood”) on E News. The website lists a launch date of January 28, 2014.

us_them_509Us & Them is a new tv series based on the hugely popular and multiple-award-winning BBC series “Gavin and Stacey.” This good-humored comedy will premiere on Fox, Fall 2014.

This TV series is the story of Gavin (Jason Ritter) and Stacey (Alexis Bledel) who decide to meet in person after a six-month-long online romance. Their crazy families and friends constantly interfere as they try to build a relationship, this ends up becoming more of a challenge than living in different states.

Gavin lives in an apartment below his parents in New York and Stacey lives with her widowed mom and her uncle on the country side in Dillsburg, PA. When all of these characters collide, we wonder how the two leads would even stay together if they decide to start a relationship. “Us & Them” exposes that one of the biggest complications that come with keeping a relationship can be the friends and family who are part of the package deal.

Aasif Mandvi who guest starred in the pilot will be returning as a regular this season. Mandvi will play a security guard roadie for the Dave Matthews Band. Michael Ian Black has recently become apart of the cast as well. Black plays Brian, Stacey’s uncle and her late father’s brother who has taken on the role of family protector.

Steve Carell and his wife Nancy have written and produced a pilot for their new comedy TV show “Tribeca” which has recently been ordered by TBS.  The show is a single-camera comedy that dives into the lives of a group of counter-intuitive criminal investigators. The show will focus on the character Angie Tribeca, a 10-year veteran of the LAPD’s Really Heinous Crimes Unit (RHCU). From what we have seen so far “Tribeca” seems like it will be in the same type of genre as Adult Swim’s “NTSF:SD:SUV” and Fox’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”Carell will direct the plot, which was created by his production company Carousel Productions.

“Tribeca” will be joined with two other pilots TBS has recently ordered, “Do It Yourself” starring Bill Engvall and an untitled half-hour pilot created by Josh Heald. If TBS decides to move the pilot to a series then it will be accompanied by a roster that includes “Ground Floor”, “American Dad”, “Cougar Town”, Sullivan & Son”, and “Men at Work.”

With Steve and Nancy Carell behind the helm of this new show it would be a surprise if it didn’t get picked up for a season. Nancy Carell is a “SNL” alum whose resume also includes “The Goode Family”, “The Office”, Bridesmaids, and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, among others.

CBS has made the commitment to create a pilot for a new show “How I Met Your Dad.” Of course by the title it’s not hard to guess that the show will be a spin-off the hit CBS comedy “How I Met Your Mother,” which is wrapping up its final season in May. Although it will be considered a spin-off show, “HIMYD” hopes to provide a similar yet none related show. The show will have none of the “HIMYM” cast and the characters of “HIMYD” will not appear in any “HIMTM” episodes.

It is comforting to know that the writers and producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas will be returning to create “HIMYD.” Bays recently confirmed the making of the pilot show on Twitter stating “Our Hope is that #HIMYD becomes its own magical wonderful weird thing, and the two shows stand on their own side by side.” Not much is known and CBS has yet to set an airdate for the pilot episode, but with the announced ending of “HIMYM” it looks like it already has an audience in need of a new story. Make sure to check back from more updates on the show.

The awesomely bizarre Jenna N. Mourey aka Jenna Marbles is a blogger and YouTube personality. Her video’s have very personal feel, with just her in her room, often with her dogs Mr. Marbles and Kermit. She films short webcam videos ranting on a variety of topics and posts them to youtube once a-week. Sometimes her fun topics are sprinkled with a serious message which has made her somewhat of a role model. Now if she can just work on her sailor mouth.

Never in a million years did Jenna think she would be on camera. She actually received a masters degree in sport physiology and counseling. But she ended up going in a different direction, and boy are we glad! Her life path was quickly derailed by her YouTube channel receiving an incredible amount of views.  Since posting her first video a few years ago, Jenna Marbles has become the number one female on YouTube. Her channel currently holds 10 million subscribers, making it the 6th most subscribed channel on YouTube. She also has over one billion total videos viewed. That’s billion, with a “B.”

Jenna Marbles continues to post every Wednesday or Thursday and shows her audience that it’s okay to be weird and quirky. She has recently released a brand of dog toys called Kermie Worm & Mr.Marbles which are named after her two dogs at her home in Santa Monica, CA.

The hilarious and relate-able Jenna is not sure whats next for her but stay tuned as this feminist continues to discuss issues we typically just ignore.

http://www.moviepilot.de/files/images/series/file/10055742/New-Girl-8.jpgIn the 3rd season of Fox comedy New Girl, the day has come for one of the four roommates to move out. Will it be Jess (Zooey Deschanel),who was the last to move in after a bad break-up, or  Nick (Jake Johnson), who is worried having a girlfriend as a roommate may complicate things? Some viewers are leaning towards Schmidt (Max Greenfield)  who has recently lost both the women he loved, or Winston (Lamorne Morrison), who’s character completes the cast perfectly but tends to go unappreciated?

Since the first season, it has been clear that these thirty-somethings haven’t quite got life figured out yet, so it is no surprise that someone is spontaneously moving out. Though a cast member is leaving the loft, it has been confirmed that they will remain on the show. This leaves an open room in the loft and a great opportunity for the producers to bring back season 1’s character, “Coach” (Damon Wayans Jr.). Wayans, who originally appeared in the pilot episode, dropped New Girl to pursue his role on ABC’s Happy Endings (which was recently cancelled).  At this point, Wayans is slated to appear in the next four episodes.

Aside from Wayans, we can also expect to see special guest star Taye Diggs, who will come portray – you guessed it! – a smooth talking ladies man, likely to create drama between Nick and Jess.  Be sure to tune in to Fox on Tuesdays to catch new episodes (next week’s Halloween episode is not to be missed).

New Girl has been nominated for 4 golden globe awards, and received an IMDb rating of 7.8/10.

Actress/Comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return as hosts of the next two Golden Glove Awards, beginning with the 71st annual ceremony on January 12, 2014. The news come as a huge (and pleasant) surprise to fans who were led to believe that the duo’s hosting gig of the 2013 show was a one-time deal with no obligation to return. Fey and Poehler reportedly were approached over the summer by longtime Golden Globes producer Dick Clark Productions and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association about returning as hosts for the upcoming seasons.

The duo’s return to the stage follows an extremely successful 2013 showing at the Globes in which Fey and Poehler drew high critical praise and big ratings. The January ceremony reeled in 19.7 million viewers, an increase in 17% from the previous year’s show, making it one of the most watched Golden Globes ever. The show also recorded a 6.4 rating in the crucial 18-49 adult demo, up 28% from 2012. Fey and Poehler further cemented their status as a trendy comedy duo last month when the pair teamed up for a memorable opening bit, widely regarded as the highlight of this year’s Primetime Emmy’s.

Over the years Fey and Poehler have displayed a unique and distinctive chemistry that has made the duo one of comedy tv’s most captivating duos, and the pair is certainly no newcomer to the live stage. Both are considered titans of the 38 year-old and still running Saturday Night Live platform, and have recently returned as guest hosts of the show’s season premieres, with Fey hosting just last month. For their previous Golden Globes act, the duo wasted no time cracking on fellow celebrities in the crowd  including 2012 host, Ricky Gervais, who was criticized for being too experimental and off-the-cuff with his routine. Ultimately, the funny pals impressed show-runners and audience members alike, and the 2-year commitment signifies a bevy of hilarious celebrity zingers and jabs to come.

Currently, Faye is in the first season of a huge 4-year deal at Universal TV which has her working on two high-profile comedy projects. She’s also featured in two major upcoming films: Muppets Most Wanted, which has completed production and is slated for a March 2014 release, as well as Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, in theaters December 20, 2013. Poehler, who is in the midst of working on her first book, also has a busy upcoming schedule: she plays a supporting role in the new comedy They Came Together (unknown release date) and is also featured in Anchorman 2. Additionally, you can hear her voice on the upcoming 3D animated comedy, Free Birds, coming out on November 1st.
