Ender’s Game is an adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s 1985 sci-fi cult classic and best-selling novel. The film is an action-packed adventure, which takes place 70 years after a gruesome alien war. The audience follows Ender Wiggin, played by Asa Butterfield (Hugo, Boy in the Striped Pajamas), an unusually gifted child, who is drafted by the International Fleet to save the human race. In order to develop a secure defense against a hostile alien species’ next attack, government agencies breed child geniuses and train them as soldiers, and Ender Wiggin is one such young strategist.

Additional names listed on the call sheet include Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones Movies), Ben Kingsley (Schindler’s List), as well as Viola Davis (The Help) and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit).

This promising hit, directed by Gavin Hood, is due out in November 2013.
