Star Wars has been one of the most renowned and successful franchises of all time. Through everything from the original movies to the merchandise that surrounds it, Lucasfilm has brought out the geek in us all and racked in the money because of it. However, at age 64 George Lucas, a 100 percent owner of Lucasfilm, has decidd to sell to Disney for $4 billion; a deal that Disney has been pursuing for over a year and a half. With this new purchase there have also been rumors circulating about the possibility of making three new Star Wars films. It is hard to comprehend new Star Wars movies without George Lucas on-board. However, Lucas received 40 million Disney shares from the deal, making him the second-largest non-industrial shareholder of Disney. Therefore we can certainly hope he will be very involved in any upcoming related films.
