D’Angelo Russell may be the Las Angles Lakers most promising draft pick in the last decade. The 21 year old point guard from Kentucky was spent 1 year at Ohio State before declaring for the NBA draft and foregoing his last three years of eligibility. This is a popular action taken by young basketball stars who are projected to be drafted in the top 10.
Russell was drafted second overall in the 2015 draft by the Los Angles Lakers. The Lakers had the fourth worst record in the NBA in the 2015 season and will be looking for Russell to help them turn things around. Russell spent his lone college season with the Ohio State Buckeyes and lead his team in points and assists. Russell was a McDonald’s all American in his senior year of high school and was the number 1 point guard out of the 2014 class.
D’Angelo Russell is going to have a major role on the 2015-2016 Lakers team. Lakers coaches say they have high of expectations for the young guard and say he will be playing big minutes.
