After taking the stage to perform her song “Little Red Wagon,” Miranda Lambert took home the Grammy for best country album. While this wasn’t her first time being nominated, this was Lambert’s first Grammy win. Lambert wasn’t able to bask in the win for too long, as she was back on the road for her Certified Platinum Tour, which had kicked off on January 15th, 2015. This is considered the second leg to her 2014 Platinum Tour.
Lambert is all about fierce female independence, and her concerts do a great job showcasing that. The show opens up with a montage video of important pioneering women in history including Amelia Earhart with bold text that reads “well behaved women rarely make history.” Lambert commands the stage throughout the 20 song set list. The RollingStone posted an article about Lambert first ever performance at Madison Square Garden on March 28th, 2015 stating that “Lambert took the stage earlier that night to a fiery version of “Fastest Girl in Town” and hardly stopped for a breath during the rest of her 100-plus minute show.” She’s definitely showing her power.
