You may remember Emily Browning as the eldest sibling from the 2004 film Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events , in which she starred along side Jim Carrey.  Seven years later, Browning is portraying a similar character in Sucker Punch; slated for release 3/25/11.

She will portray a  young girl who is locked away in a mental asylum by her wicked stepfather where she will undergo a lobotomy in 5 days time. Faced with unimaginable odds, she retreats to fantastical world in her imagination where she and four other female inmates at the asylum plot to escape the facility.

 

 

Lucy Hale is a regular on Pretty Little Liars, the USA hit series. This year, the TV star will be gracing the big screens in the much-anticipated flick, Scream 4.  The 21 year-oldbeauty will portray Rebecca in the thriller.

In this installment, Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

 

 

There is no doubt we should all be prepared to see more of this 20 year-old actress.  Not only is Jennifer Lawrence beautiful, she is extremely talented.  She was recently nominated for an Oscar for her role in Winter’s Bone.  She is already slated to appear in three 2011 films, the most significant of which is X-Men: First Class.  She will portray the ever-changing, but always sexy, Mystique.

As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, X-Men: First class will go back in time to explore the relationship between Professor X and Mageneto before they were arch enemies.  Be sure to check out this film June 3, 2011.

 

 

Rosie Huntington-Whitely is mostly known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret model- for now!! This 23 year-old beauty has been cast to replace Megan Fox’s character in the next installment of the Transformers franchise;  Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

In this epic adventure, The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers’ final battle.  Be sure to catch this film while it is in theaters, starting July 1, 2011.

 

 

Mia Wasikowska may be a name you don’t recognize, but it is definitely one you won’t forget.  And the actresses’ face is as memorable as her name.  You will remember her as Alice from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland.  And over the next 2 years, you will see her star in more than 9 films.  One of the most notable may be Jane Eyre, in which Wasikowska will portray Eyre herself.

In this film,  Jane Eyre goes out into the world to become a governess, after a bleak childhood. As she lives happily in her new position at Thornfield Hall, she meets the dark, cold, and abrupt master of the house, Mr. Rochester, who she grows close in friendship and soon finds herself falling in love with him. Happiness seems to have found Jane at last, but  Mr. Rochester’s terrible secret could destroy her happiness forever.
